Are you currently eyeing that stack of paper on your desk? You know, the one that doesn't ever seem to get smaller? You're not alone. Although it can sometimes be challenging, everyone has their preferred way of staying organized and that's why we asked our readers to share their favorite organization tool last month. We're sending a big thanks to everyone who submitted an entry and we hope the rest of our members can take advantage of all the excellent tips that were shared.

Congratulations are in order for Faith Cameron (OA member: fcameron) of Massachusetts. Faith will receive:

  • An Avery Do-It-Yourself Organization prize pack (worth $215!) containing everything you need to stay on top of your organizational game. This gift is overflowing with goodies like a handy tote and various label products including clear and white address and shipping labels you can use for organizing, addressing and labeling; notepads for quick and easy labeling on the fly; and Avery's Wizard software with pre-designed or create-your-own label templates.

She shares:

To-Do Lists!

I know it sounds simple, but a to-do list is my starting point. I keep a running list in a notebook on my desk at all times and add to it throughout the day - also handy for looking back for phone numbers or when I did something for this or that boss.

I also use color coded index cards (post-it) to keep lists on the outside of active files.

I use clear plastic colored folders that keep things organized in my laptop bag when I travel. That way I can see the index cards, or post-its that I put on the front page of the paperwork as reminders.

In the office I also send myself outlook appointments to remind myself of deadlines or when I am waiting for things.

Thank you again to everyone who participated. You all shared some great organizational tips that should not be missed! Check back tomorrow for December's holiday-themed contest announcement.
