Sorting the mail is just another office chore, although one that can build up quickly if you aren't in the office. It's not necessarily that you need to read each item that comes in (with the amount of junk mail clogging most mailboxes, there's plenty of mail that goes directly into the trashcan) but it just needs to sorted out. Earth Class Mail offers a service based on that need: no matter where you are, the company collects your mail and makes it available to you online.

Get Control

Traditional mail forwarding services simply send the whole batch of mail to your current address. In an effort to both reduce costs and eliminate trash from your mail, Earth Class Mail automatically scans the envelopes that come to your mailing address. You can browse through those images and quickly decide whether to have a piece of mail shredded, recycled, stored, forwarded, or opened and scanned in. Only those items you actually need will be sent to you - Earth Class Mail handles sorting and disposing of the rest. The service's prices start at $19.95 per month, based on the volume of mail received.

Get Some Prestige

Earth Class Mail offers prestige addresses, in addition to its other mail services. For an additional fee, your company can have a mailing address on Park Avenue in Manhattan, Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, Market Street in San Francisco or other locations that can boost a company's credentials - although you won't have an office at that location if anyone decides to check out if you're really there.

Get Virtual

If you work virtually, Earth Class Mail can provide a simple solution to managing mail, especially if you need to be able to forward mail to different recipients within your company. It also provides a way to access mail much faster than making a run to the post office every so often or relying on a traditional mail forwarding service. However, if your business routinely receives time-sensitive document through the post office, Earth Class Mail may not provide access quite as quickly as you may need. The service can FedEx packages or mail to you for a fast delivery - but such a solution may not be cost-effective on a regular basis.

Get Secure

While there may be some concerns about exactly what mail you'll be receiving through Earth Class Mail, the service does provide a level of security beyond what the post office can offer. Incoming mail is tracked and archived, making it possible for you know exactly what has come in. Having third party verification of just what mail you have received can come in handy - especially if you run into claims that "the check is in the mail." Earth Class Mail does require its mail-processing staff to hold security clearances and mail is handled in a clean room environment, where recording devices are banned and personnel are required to wear pocketless uniforms. The system does protect your mail significantly better than a traditional forwarding service or even the post office can.
