Manage Projects with Wrike
If you work at a company that manages multiple projects and needs to share information with its clients, this software can be very helpful. It is being seen as an alternative to the online project management system Basecamp, which is geared more toward web designers. Wrike is a tool for other web workers and for companies that need an internal project management tool. This software allows managers, users and clients to track projects that need collaboration. The program is all web based so no need for companies to host it themselves or do any installation or set up.
For companies that have a large volume of projects but have small teams, they will appreciate that Wrike charges on a per user basis instead of per project. This can save a lot of money. You are not charged for creating additional top-level categories. Wrike allows users to create an unlimited number of folders so you can organize thousands of notes and items across hundreds of projects. It also works with any email program making it very easy to communicate with other users, clients or managers no matter what platform they are using. This includes mobile email and web based email.
Wrike also makes setting tasks easy. You don't even have to log in to the system to create a new task. You can send an email to the system and it will set one up automatically. Within that email you can add a due date and can add other users by including their email addresses in the CC field. You can assign tasks and add items to your to do lists. All members of the project can get email notifications about changes to the specific project and members of the team can give their input instantly.
On their web site they have forums for users who can get support, tips and ideas from other users. They also have a blog where they share new features, upcoming additions and share answers with Wrike users. And it's all free. The creators really listen to their users and incorporate their ideas and suggestions into the program.
They offer a 30-day free trial to get you up and running to see if Wrike is a good fit for your company. After that trial it is only $3.99 per user. This new software is definitely worth a look for those who need a simple, compatible and effective project management tool.
